After a few days reflecting on Origins and Ethos from this past week, I was so encouraged. Our team that created, organized, and pulled off these events did an incredible job! What a privilege and honor it is to work with people like Sueann, Shannon, David, Chad, Janice, Neil, Steve, Ralph, Dave, Eileen, Erwin, among the many others. What great job!
Some of the highlights from Ethos specifically included:
Erwin led discussions about “Communicating in a Post-Christian Context,” “The Human Narrative,” and “A Spiritual Anthropology” with an international panel which included: a. Naeem Fazal from Mosaic Charlotte, Theo from South Africa, Grant from New Zealand, Phil from New Zealand, Debbie from Nottingham (U.K.), Goodie Goodloe from our community here in L.A..
The message on “A Global Strategy” by Bob Roberts, author of Glocalization: How Followers of Jesus Engage a Flat World.
The interview of two of the cast from Heroes (James Kyson Lee who plays Ando and Missy Peregrym who plays Candice).
The group interaction and dialogue really challenged us to more effectively engage the world in which we live as well as the tools necessary to create the future.
Excited for our next Ethos event in October in Charlotte!
Eric, your book is great!!!!! I read half of it on the plane – way to go man. I loved your message on the mosque. Bob Roberts
