A Day Off (part two)

Now that the kids are both in school, we have a new babysitter – Fremont School! I am looking forward to our day together. Some of the highlights I hope to include:

Eating a new cereal that tastes like Cracklin’ Oat Bran (my favorite cereal which for some inexplicable reason is unavailable in CA). The new cereal is from Trader Joe’s and is called “Oat n Wheat Bran Swirls.”

Chick-Fil-A is moving closer and closer to Los Angeles! The nearest is now only 15 miles away!

I picked up a new book called Microtrends: the small forces behind tomorrow’s big changes. “Only one percent of the public, or three million people, is enough to launch a business or social movement.” Sounds intriguing, huh?! Thanks for the heads up to Meredith and Bryce!

I love to read news articles online. If you ever want to impress your friends by predicting the stories on the television evening news, read The Drudge Report. After reading through the headlines on The Drudge Report, I can tell Debbie the details of the stories featured on the evening news before the anchors do. Some fascinating stories up today include:

Artist implants ‘third ear’ on his own arm

Researcher: Humans Will Wed Robots

One in Five Pregnancies Worldwide End in Abortion
. Another story on abortion: Abortion Rates Same Whether Legal Or Not

Mastermind of First Twin Towers Attack Claims He Has Converted to Christianity

Study Reveals Stressed Out 7-11 Year Olds

Seeing a movie (any suggestions?)

Playing with the kids at Granada Park

Watching some of our shows that we recorded on our DVR (Survivor, The Biggest Loser, Smallville, The Office, among others.
