Is it possible to change the world without others knowing it was you?
God has revealed Himself yet remains invisible. “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Romans 1:20
God seems to come in and out of our lives without our awareness. In the Scriptures, we are told we can live out God’s character and His power.
In fact, Peter wrote, “God’s divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3).
Paul reminded the Ephesians that the same power that rose Christ from the dead lives within those who follow Christ (Eph. 2:19-20).
I am trying to wrestle with these thoughts:
How can we show God’s character and power through our lives?
Are we missing out on something? Why don’t followers of Christ live out Christ’s divine nature and divine power more often?
For me, sometimes I am just too busy or too distracted. If I’m not busy trying not to be bad then I am busy being good so that I miss being great.
Wrestling with the unseen…
I think what I wrestle with in all this is that I want to be known… I want credit. It validates my contributions. It’s a struggle to let go of that.
thanks for sharing this Eric, it came at the right time too, been reflecting and speaking on BEING lately, and this week I’m focusing on being the change, your thoughts on invisible influence were a god challenge.
