Some things that made me smile this week:
1. Caleb listening to Queen, the White Stripes, and Filipino Rock music on my iPod while practicing on his drums. He accidentally left the iPod on the couch once and our puppy chewed up one of the earbuds, so he only has one in his ear and the other mangled one just dangles while he drums. 🙂
2. Holding my six year old, Trevi in my arms while watching TV the other day, she reached up and held onto my earlobe. Seemed odd at first, but then I remembered that she used to do that years ago as a baby when she was nursing. Weird, but cute, huh?!
3. The flight attendant on Frontier Airlines gave the most hilarious safety demonstration I have ever heard. Here were some of his best lines:
“In the likely event that our flight becomes a cruise, pull the seat cushion up to use as your flotation device and swim like crazy.”
“There is no smoking allowed on this plane or for the rest of your life for that matter.”
“If we lose cabin pressure, masks will drop from the ceiling. After you stop screaming, please put the mask over your mouth and nose before helping the children next to you and the adults acting like children next to you put theirs on.”
Thanks for those, especially the flight attendant. There is a Canadian airline, West Jet, that is known for their fun flight attendants. I remember one attendant starting with, “If you’ve lived in a cave for the past 40 years, I will now show you how to buckle your seatbelt.”
That would have been a hilarious demonstration..LOL!
Filipino Rock Music = Awesomeness like Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream, the slow churned kind from Turkey Hill.
“…then I remembered that she used to do that years ago as a baby when she was nursing. Weird, but cute, huh?!”
I guess I am more interested to know how you nursed your child. I know you have many talents, but…
