David Letterman said something interesting and profound on his show tonight when talking about the remarkable story of the “Miracle on the Hudson.” After both engines died due to a flock of birds, a US Airways plane crash landed in the Hudson River and every single passenger and those in the crew walked (or swam) away from their sinking plane.
Letterman almost seemed to be praying when he said: “Maybe God, this is a symbol for good, strong, positive things to come in the year 2009 because you don’t get any news better than that.”
Just before that he reported that “Airbus planes float better than they fly.”
