For a real contrast in the conditions of the heart, consider the battle between Pharaoh and Moses:
“But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.” – Exodus 18:5
“Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.” – Numbers 12:3
If these were the two extremes in a continuum describing the condition of your heart, to which one are you closer? Towards which direction are you heading?
