Our 17th Anniversary

I honestly cannot believe that today marks our 17th anniversary since we got married!

If you haven’t heard the story of how I got chicken pox on my wedding day (true story), watch here.

Two things strike me as I consider our anniversary:

1. Shouldn’t I feel more grown up by now? I still don’t feel what I guess I thought a 39 year old would feel like. Maybe that is just me. I know I’ve grown a great deal and certainly don’t look the same (as you can tell by the picture above), but I guess I had always assumed that adults would have more answers than we actually do.  Now that I am an adult, I know we don’t. 🙂

2. I cannot believe I’ve grown to love Debbie even more than I did on this day 17 years ago. I could not have imagined loving her any more than I did then, but I do.

Time and love are both mysterious to me. I am grateful to explore both with Debbie.
