John Surveying Their Remodeling Efforts
One of our best friends in Los Angeles is in the midst of what could be an 8 hour surgery today. After we moved, John was diagnosed with Medullary Thyroid Cancer. The surgeon hopes to remove all of the cancer through this surgery which would mean John wouldn’t need radiation or chemo therapy.
John and his wife Bea lived across the street from us from 2002 until we moved in Dec. 2010. For years they came over almost every week to watch Lost (and then Flash Forward and finally The Event). Every time we enjoyed this special popcorn they would make which includes butter, salt, olive oil, and pepper. Delicious!
We wish we could be there for them the way they were there for us after my back surgery. Since we cannot be there, I thought I would ask others to pray for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery for John. Thanks for your prayers!
