Love Does by Bob Goff

Bob Goff is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Restore International, a non-profit organization which was established to address the atrocities and injustices committed against children. Bob shared the following inspiring thoughts:

“God doesn’t speak to me audibly. Instead He’s given me the Bible, and He’s given me you!

There is evidence of Jesus everywhere! ‘Look for many convincing proofs that Jesus is still alive.’ – Luke to Theophilus in Acts 1.

When you choose to live a life that is different, then you will take a hit.

Don’t believe the myth that we shouldn’t have high expectations for our life. We are children of the King!

Don’t believe the myth that we need a title or education to get anything done.

Don’t get ‘head-faked’ by the times we hear ‘no.’

When things don’t make sense, consider it may be evidence of Jesus.

We get too stressed out about figuring out what we think is God’s will for our lives. God wants us to do what we are good at and don’t do the things we aren’t good at. He isn’t inviting us to be business partners. He is inviting us to be on an adventure!

Remember that you are a child of the King, and act like it! We don’t have to play by the rules!

We are the ones who are supposed to be running to the fight! When you see injustice, do something about it!

Be whimsical, and make it strategic. Start with a conversation, and learn more. Become more like Jesus. No angles. Just Jesus on the other side. We will get around to speaking about heavier stuff, but we need to start with a relationship.

If people don’t think you are nuts, then you are just typical. Stop it!

‘Follow me’ means being different!

Becoming typical gets us off the wrong trajectory.”

Eric, Bob Goff is one of my heroes. A man who thinks differently than me, bigger than me, and because of this he has challenged me on many occasions. I am so thrilled that “Love Does” has been written and now he is able to challenge the masses. What a wonderful brother he is.
