#life24seven is about knowing God intimately and bringing hope to humanity. It is about discovering life and freedom and bring life and freedom to others no matter where you may be 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. For us, it includes creating a space for this to happen so we can do more of what we already do well, and so we can create new ways to serve our city.
Join us for the month of February as we pray for a movement of life giving life 24/7. Below is the first email we sent out to our Gateway South prayer team.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Prayer Suggestions:
- Pray for Gateway South, Gateway McNeil, Gateway Central, and Gateway Branson. Pray for God’s protection for those who call Gateway their church home, those who serve and volunteer, those who lead, and for our staff and their families.
- Pray for God’s protection for yourself and our people.
- Pray for God’s Kingdom to advance through us on this day.
- Pray for unity, provision, and harvest for each of us individually and as a church community.
- Pray for Gateway South to be able to sign the contract this week and that the permits, the funds, and the construction would all go smoothly and allow us into the building where God brings healing and life change.
