Feeling stressed? Anxious?
We have a lot weighing on us nowadays – a pandemic, racial injustice, protests, economic uncertainty, a divisive election, and so much more.
This past Sunday I shared a message at Our Drive-In Tailgate Reunion in the back parking lot at Gateway in South Austin.
In this message, discover how to win the battle in your mind, “wage war” like Jesus, take thoughts captive, and replace dark thoughts with light. Spend some time meditating on 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Phillipians 4:4-9, and Ephesians 6:10-17.
There is a spiritual battle between light and darkness, love and hate, the spirit and the flesh. That battle happens within each of us, and the battle is fought and can be won in the mind.
Wrong thinking leads to destructive words and actions.
How did Jesus wage war? He did not take revenge. Instead, he absorbed evil and it took His life. Yet he rose from the dead. God conquered death!
When we die to ourselves and allow God to be the One who guides and fills us, we overcome.
“Worrying is like praying for what you do not want”. – Lara Casey
Take thoughts captive so you can take them to God and let Him give you back what is best.
Think on whatever is Pure, Praiseworthy, Lovely, Admirable, Noble, True, Excellent, and Right (Phil. 4:6-8).
What you sow in you “P.P.L.A.N.T.E.R.” is what you reap.
