Jesus warns us not to judge other people but to instead examine ourselves and treat others the way we want to be treated.
So how come Christians are known for being so judgmental?

Jesus warns us not to judge other people but to instead examine ourselves and treat others the way we want to be treated.
So how come Christians are known for being so judgmental?
The spirit of religiosity can deceive us. We are to have open and honest conversations with others where we speak the truth in love. We are to be like iron sharpening iron.
But we aren’t to put ourselves in the seat of judge.
Instead, trusting God our Father we are to ask, seek, and knock knowing He’s even more capable and generous than even the best earthly fathers. And we are to build our life on His wisdom so that we can withstand the storms that will come in life.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus introduces the idea that the Kingdom of God is already here yet not fully here is it will be one day when Jesus returns to make all things right. More on that later.
