In Matthew 28, we have the greatest miracle that has ever happened! The One who was willingly crucified was alive!
An angel appears to a couple of the women and tells them to share with the others that Jesus rose from the dead! They are the world’s first witnesses of the greatest miracle of all time! Jesus later appears to them all and tells them to tell the nations that He is alive!
Rumors circulated that the disciples had stolen the body, but the tomb was securely sealed. If they had conspired to do this, their conspiracy would have unraveled! They would have confessed before choosing to travel traveled far and wide to “make disciples of all nations.” They would have confessed before they were killed. They were unwilling to deny they had seen Jesus alive. The truth is that they saw Him alive after He had been crucified.
