“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:1-2 NIV
Those who follow Jesus should live differently.
As living sacrifices to God, surrendering our lives and dedicating ourselves fully to serving God and others leads to a renewed mind and personal transformation.
With humility, those who follow Jesus serve others with our unique spiritual gifts like a body where each member has different functions and roles.
Genuine love shows sincere affection, honor, and devotion to one another. We are to be joyful, patient, and prayerful, especially in times of difficulty.
Additionally, Paul emphasizes the need to live in harmony with others, both within the Christian community and beyond. He encourages believers to live peaceably with everyone, to bless those who persecute them, and to overcome evil with good.
